Atelier CROMA ethics
If you are between Annecy and Geneva, don’t hesitate and entrust your artworks to an ethical and eco-responsible studio. Atelier CROMA aims to be a conservation studio where treatments are custom-made and minimal. In my studio, I pay attention to ecology, using, for example, less solvents. Atelier CROMA: the expertise that preserves even the planet.
Minimal treatments
Since each intervention can potentially interact with the physico-chemical balance of an artwork, at Atelier CROMA we pay particular attention to minimalism in the choice of our interventions. Whether dealing with antique, modern or contemporary artworks.
However, when it comes to modern and/or contemporary art, extra care must be taken as these works have an even more fragile materiality. Generally sensitive to water (water can cause particular chemical reactions), treatments performed on them must be custom-made (example: choice of an adapted pH) by being the least interventionist possible.
Ecology and conservation
Ecology is a fundamental point that is in Atelier CROMA’s DNA. Indeed, it is not only your works that we preserve but also the environment.
We take this into consideration when choosing our treatments, trying to use as few solvents as possible and replacing them, whenever we can, with eco-solvents (allowing us to reduce toxicity for living beings and their environment).
Consumables are chosen to avoid as much as possible the production of unnecessary waste (over-packaging, plastics, etc.) and inevitable waste is treated, sorted and recycled as best as possible.
